Jinsang Lee Bio

Jinsang Lee rose to international prominence by winning the 2009 Concours Géza Anda, making history as the first artist to receive all special awards — the Audience, Mozart, and Schumann Prizes — alongside the First Prize. This landmark success followed his earlier first-prize victories at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2008 and the International Pianoforte Competition in Cologne, 2005. His concert career includes collaborations with orchestras such as the Bamberg Symphony, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. He has performed under conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Jonathan Nott, and Mario Venzago, appeared at the Berlin Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, KKL Lucerne, Tonhalle Zurich, Konzerthaus Vienna and the Louvre Museum, and was invited to the Lucerne Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Ruhr Piano Festival, Busoni Festival, Menton Festival, and Montreux Festival. His discography includes studio albums featuring the works of Robert Schumann and Ludwig van Beethoven. Currently a Professor at the Korea National University of Arts, Jinsang Lee serves as a jury member for international competitions, including the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn, the Isang Yun Competition in Tongyeong, the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition, and the Singapore International Piano Competition.
