American pianist Claire Huangci captivates audiences with her “radiant virtuosity, artistic sensitivity, keen interactive sense and subtle sound dramaturgy” (Salzburger Nachrichten). In solo recitals and with international orchestras, Claire plays at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Suntory Hall Tokyo, NCPA Beijing, Paris Philharmonie, Munich Gasteig, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Vienna Concerthouse, Salzburg Festspielhaus, and the Budapest Franz Liszt Akademy. She is a welcome guest at festivals including Lucerne, Verbier and Rheingau, as well as Klavier Festival Ruhr. Claire began her international career at the age of nine with concert appearances and awards at piano competitions. After studying with Eleanor Sokoloff and Gary Graffman at Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute of Music, she moved to Germany in 2007 for further studies with Arie Vardi in Hannover. Recordings of, amongst others, music from Scarlatti and Bach to Beethoven, Paderewski and Prokofiev testify to the wide interests of this unusually versatile artist.
